Here is a little background on me so that you will know where I am coming from. I have been interested in science and technology since I was a kid. I have an Extra Class amateur (ham) radio license. I have been a licensed ham radio operator since way back in the 1960s. I received a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering in the 1970s.
I wrote my first computer program in 1971. It was written in the FORTRAN programming language on punched cards. During the past few years, I have written programs in many programming languages. In fact, I have written programs in more “flavors” of BASIC and assembly language than the flavors of ice cream that Baskin-Robbins and Ben & Jerry’s have …combined. Lately, I have been writing most of my code in Javascript, PHP and PERL.
I must confess to being a gadget freak. I find that the blinky lights on many gadgets have a hypnotic effect on me. They say “buy me… buy me… buy me… .” I try to resist, but sometimes (ok, lots of times) I give in and buy the gadget.
This blog is dedicated to the many like-minded individuals who share my passion for gadgets. Are you one of them? In any case, I hope you enjoy reading my blog. Post comments if you like, but please remember to be polite.
Thanks,
Gadget Seeker
